The
American-Scandinavian Foundation, Based in New York, this Foundation promotes
Scandinavian culture within the United States. A school for children of Finnish heritage to learn
about Finnish language and culture. An organization in Boston for Icelanders. Their website has information about
Icelandic events and useful information for Icelanders in the Boston area in
Icelandic and English. A calendar of Scandinavian events across the country
as well as in New England.
Nordic Heritage
Museum, Seattle Museum and cultural center honoring the legacy of
immigrants from the five Nordic countries. Based in Minneapolis, this Foundation works to
further cooperation among Norwegian-American organizations and to strengthen
ties between Norway and the people of North America. A local organization for people with an interest in
Norway and Norwegian culture. A choir devoted to the vocal heritage of
Scandinavia. They perform in all of
the Scandinavian languages. A school for children of Swedish parentage to learn
about Swedish language and culture. A local chapter of SWEA International for Swedish
and Swedish speaking women. |
